About
CHF is working with the Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC) as part of the Strengthening Medicare initiative.
We are seeking consumers to share their views on how health information is shared, protected, and used in primary care settings. As digital technologies become a bigger part of healthcare, it’s important that your voice helps shape the way data sharing, privacy, and consent are managed.
The Department wants to better understand your experiences, concerns, and expectations about how your personal health information is used by your GP, nurse, pharmacist, or allied health professional, and how you think consent should be managed when your data is used for broader health improvements. Your input will help shape strategies to improve the benefits of data use while safeguarding privacy and respecting consumer choices.
The opportunity and your role
We want to hear from consumers about:
Your awareness and experiences with healthcare providers sharing your health information, and your views on how it could be improved.
How comfortable you are with your de-identified health information being used to develop healthcare services, policies, or research.
What protections you expect when your health information is collected, stored, and shared.
Your preferences for how and when consent should be given for the use of your health data.
As a participant, you will:
Share your experiences on your use and confidence of digital health tools and AI
