The Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) is the national voice for health consumers with more than 80 Member organisations. CHF Members are dedicated to advocating for the needs of Australia's healthcare consumers and ensuring that healthcare is accessible, affordable, and safe.  

Joining CHF as a Member, allows your organisation to shape the future of Australian healthcare and showcase your leadership in consumer advocacy. 

By being a CHF Member, you and your organisation can: 

  • Shape Policy: Influence national healthcare priorities by contributing to CHF Member consultations for impactful policy submissions. 

  • Engage and Network: Participate in exclusive Member events, including the Member's Policy Forum, consultation sessions, and thought-provoking webinars. 

  • Strengthen Advocacy: Demonstrate your commitment to a robust and equitable consumer health sector in Australia. 

  • Lead the Way: Stay informed about opportunities to nominate consumer representatives for influential national advisory roles. 


Types of Membership 

  1. Voting Organisational Membership: For not-for-profit organisations representing consumer interests. Includes voting rights and Board nominations. 

  2. Associate Organisational Membership: For organisations supporting CHF’s mission, including for-profit and not-for-profit entities. 


Membership Fees (updated 11 August 2025)

 Our Membership fees have changed as of 1 July 2025.

Voting Organisational Membership

  • $200 per year if annual income is under $250,000.

  • $1,000 per year if annual income over $250,000.

Associate Organisational Membership

Fees are based on organisation income, ranging from $880 to $5,315 per year.

Our Members include state health consumer organisations and peak bodies dedicated to specific health conditions and health policy objectives. CHF's members are highly valued partners in the effort to make the consumer perspective integral to all health policy decisions.

Voting Organisational Members 

Our Voting Organisational Members are comprised of not-for-profit organisations whose aims and objectives represent consumer views and interests. They are eligible to nominate Board Directors and vote at the CHF Annual General Meeting. 

Associate Organisational Members 

Our Associate Organisational Members are comprised of passionate not-for-profit and for-profit organisations that support the aims and objectives of CHF.
