What’s this about?
Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) has received funding from the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (the Department) through the Quality Use of Diagnostics, Therapeutics and Pathology program. This funding supports the development of a national training package for health professionals focused on shared decision making.
CHF is partnering with the University of Tasmania to create this training package. It will help health professionals understand the theory and practical skills needed to engage in shared decision making with consumers, especially when it comes to using prescription medications. As part of the training, a short video featuring consumer voices will highlight why shared decision-making matters and how it can positively impact health outcomes.
